‘Together We Achieve More’

Online Safety

IMPORTANT: Parental Permission

We work on the assumption that parents give permission for their child to have supervised access to the Internet and computing technologies in school. If you have concerns about any aspect of the use of communications technologies in school please speak to us.

In school we have filters that block inappropriate content and all online activity is supervised. We teach children about ways to stay safe online.

Below you can see a guidance note to parents called 'Using Technology Safely'. This contains the 'Acceptable Use Agreement' that children stick to when using computing equipment in school.

Our detailed online safety policy is also available below.

The challenge to keep children safe is at least as great at home as in school.

Below are resources that might be of interest as you guide your child in staying safe online. You don't have to read them all. Just one of them might be all you need.

Social Networking, e.g. Facebook

We ask that parents use social networking sites responsibly.

We have a policy in case the reputation of the school or members of the school staff is harmed by inappropriate use.
