Reading

LI: Retrieve information from the story

Please log in to Purple Mash. I would like you to re-read Chapter 4 of our Class Story, ‘The Settlers. After you have read the chapter again, you have two tasks.

1) Answer some SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) questions relating to the chapter.

2) Answer some 'open-ended' questions about the chapter. Please write full sentences to answer these questions with reasons to support your answers. You can refer to things that have happened in the story in your answers.

English

LI: Write the next part of the story

Chapter 4 of our Purple Mash class story, ‘The Settlers’, ends very dramatically. What will happen next? Will the family manage to escape safely from their burning home? Where will they find shelter now that their home has gone up in flames?

Your task is to decide what will happen next and how the characters will react. Your task, 'The Fire', is set as a 2Do on Purple Mash, where you will write the next part of the story. I would like you to include some direct speech in your writing so remember what you learned yesterday and include speech punctuation when your characters are talking.

I can’t wait to read your writing!

Maths

LI: Divide 2-digits by 1-digit (3)

Please watch the learning video on this link https://vimeo.com/494126561

Then complete the worksheets. Try to do these on ClassDojo if you can so you can complete them on screen and save to your portfolio. You can also find them here, though. Remember, if it is very tricky you can do just the first worksheet but challenge yourself as much as you can!

PE

Our Sports coaches from PH Sports who work in school with us have produced some lessons for you to follow at home. Please see below a little video from Mr Bond to say hello and then follow this link for the PE lesson.
