Reading Comprehension
LI: Retrieve information from a non-fiction text
Last week in our TEAMS lesson we had a look at Stone Age Cave Art. Today’s non-fiction text will teach you even more about the ‘Stone Age Artist’.
Read this text and then very carefully look for the answers to the questions.
There are 3 levels of difficulty so choose the one that is right for you. The answers are included too, so that your parents or teachers can help you check your answers.
English
LI: Use engaging adverbs
Adverbs can be used at the start of a sentence to make the information engage the reader. In ‘The Truth about Trolls’, Professor Folklore has used 'Interestingly', 'Surprisingly' and 'Amazingly' to start some of his sentences. In this task, you will write your own sentences that begin with these adverbs to engage your reader.
Maths
LI: Add money
Please watch the learning video on this link https://vimeo.com/498286318
Then complete the worksheets. Try to do these on ClassDojo if you can so you can complete them on screen and save to your portfolio. You can also find them here, though. Remember, if it is very tricky you can do just the first worksheet but challenge yourself as much as you can!
Computing
Please log in to Purple Mash.
Now that you are coding experts I am going to ask you to expand your coding skills to include using sound and timers.
1. LI: Learn how to make the computer make sounds
In your Coding tasks this week you will learn how to make the computer make sounds, you will even be able to record and add your own sounds if you wish. In addition, as a real challenge you will be asked to fix a code which has the wrong sounds.
2. LI: Learn how to use a timer to make something happen repeatedly.
You will learn to use ticks, ring and bells with a timer and fix the code for a broken clock.
Times Tables practise
LI: Practise rapid recall of multiplication and division facts
Just select the sheet below for the times tables you are working on and have a practise. If you and your parents/ teacher think you're ready to move on as we go forward then please do - you'll be able to amaze me with your progress after lockdown!
